A fun project to do when learning about shapes is creating your own slice of pizza.
Supplies needed:
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons or markers (optional)
Using the scissors, cut out a triangle for the slice of pizza. (A variation would be cutting a Circle and making a big pizza instead of a slice.) We used red circles for pepperoni and green squares for peppers. There are so many different toppings you could use and not all need to be standard shapes. The options are endless. Choosing topping that your child likes on their pizza might be nice for them, or you could make a silly pizza and add things that wouldn't normally be on pizza.
Let the child color some sauce and then add glue so they can add their pizza toppings. Maybe after this they will be ready to help make a real pizza!

Fun idea. Could be done with so many different foods. Of course, pizza would be my first pick too!
