Saving For A Rainy Day

As we sat inside yesterday looking out the window to a 30 degree day with snow falling down (after enjoying a 60+ degree weekend) we decided to make our own money banks to save our money for a "rainy day". This was a quick easy task and was made out of things we had just hanging around.

First paint Modge Podge all over the canister with a good amount getting it ready for the paper you have chosen for your bank.
Then wrap your paper around the can and smooth all over so it will stick to the glue. Also cut a circle of paper out for the top of the canister. Let the can fully dry and then cut your slit in the top of the lid big enough to put your money inside.

Now you are ready to decorate any way you desire or begin to save for that rainy day.
