Cheater "Kites"

 My kids like using plastic grocery bags as "parachutes" sometimes. They can also be used as pseudo, or cheater kites for some easy fun.

 I feel like giving you instructions on how to do this insults your intelligence, so forgive me for doing so anyway. Grab a plastic grocery bag that doesn't have any holes in the bottom. Tie a ribbon or sting or whatever you have on hand through the handle loops and wait for the wind.

 Sometimes it will cooperate.

Or if it doesn't, run.

This kept my kids entertained for quite awhile. Since they can't go very high (we hard sort of short ribbons), it is safe for around the yard vs. having to go to a park to let the real deal soar.
